The Forest Hermitage (วัดป่าสันติธรรม) is a branch of Wat Nong Pah Pong (วัดหนองป่าพง), the late Luang Por Chah’s principal monastery in N. E. Thailand. Set in the Heart of England it is a small, peaceful Buddhist hermitage after the tradition of the forest monasteries and hermitages of North East Thailand and comprises Santidhamma, the original property where the monks live and where occasional events open to the public are held, and Bhavanadhamma, which is for nuns, female devotees and guests. The Buddha-Dhamma Fellowship and the Forest Hermitage Trust are responsible for both. The community is led by Ven. Chao Khun Bhavanaviteht (Luang Por Khemadhammo) OBE, whose blog, News & Musings, can be found here.

Update.
We are ever so grateful for your support and interest and welcome your help with caring for and looking after our temple.
We are again open for food offerings in the morning. You can either drop off food in the car park or if you want to enter the building you must have taken a lateral flow test that morning. We’re sorry we cannot provide test kits now that they are in such short supply. Please try to be early, no later than 10am, so that you have plenty of time to reheat any cooked food. Please also wear a mask at all times.
Anyone or any group wishing to visit the temple or offering to volunteer help, please arrange with us through our email: enquiries@foresthermitage.org.uk. Please state the date, time, purpose of your visit and the number attending.
